David has worked in the construction industry for over ten years, having started in the field with custom concrete work. He began working with permit expediting in 2014 and founded Swift Permits in 2016. Although not the first of its kind, David created the company to provide a service that would help contractors and homeowners alike, by raising the bar for customer service. He likes to say, “We are a company all about the best customer service, and we happen to do so by getting permits!”

When he isn’t working, along with his wife Alyssa, David enjoys the ability to spend plenty of time with his son, and four-legged family. Doing things to get away from the hustle and bustle of fast-paced work style, spending time outdoors, camping, driving off-road vehicles is his favorite way to escape.

Alyssa, a Central California native, has always been an outdoor enthusiast, with her early years marked by frequent hiking trips in Yosemite and weekend camping adventures. Post-high school, she ventured to Orange County, where she earned a Bachelor’s degree in Biology from Biola University in 2014. Her career journey includes impressive stints at renowned companies like Apple and Disneyland, where she not only honed her professional skills but also met her husband, David.

Since joining Swift Permits in 2017, Alyssa has been instrumental in enhancing customer service and contributing to the company’s growth. Outside of work, she cherishes her time with David, their beloved dogs, and two wonderful children, embodying the balance between a thriving career and a fulfilling personal life.

Matt has worked in the structural design & engineering space for more than 6 years. While earning his BS in Manufacturing Engineering from Texas State University he joined a structural firm as a CAD Technician. Later he was promoted to Project Manager and then Head of Design. Upon moving to Ramona in 2020 he joined Swift Permits as a Project Manager. He enjoys leveraging his design and engineering backgrounds to help customers through the process of approval and permitting for their dream additions.

When he isn’t working, Matt enjoys hiking and traveling with his wife Brittany: favorite locations include the Santa Cruz Redwoods and the Colorado Mountains. Matt is also very engaged in volunteer work; he has fostered more than 80 kittens/puppies and is active in community response. He is very interested in sports and loves digging into the statistics and analytics of his favorite teams.

Dave Walz is an accomplished professional with over a decade of experience managing and navigating the immense complexities of a clinical diagnostic laboratory, and multi-specialty clinic. While two different industries, parallel lines were easily found between the bureaucracy of insurance companies and city permit processes.

Dave brings a unique blend of high-level project management and strategic insight to the field. His personable approach and dedication to delivering exceptional service has made him a trusted partner for homeowners and contractors alike in San Diego County.

Dimitar is an architectural designer with a Master’s degree in Architecture based in Macedonia, and extensive experience across residential, commercial, public, and interior design projects. He has hands-on expertise throughout all phases of the design and construction process — from concept development and project design to permitting and construction. Dimitar has successfully completed numerous projects both locally and internationally. He started working with Swift Permits in 2023 and has been a valuable contributor to the team ever since.

Outside of work, Dimitar is a passionate traveler who enjoys exploring new places. He values quality time with his significant other, family, and friends, which helps him maintain balance in his personal life. Staying active and spending time in nature keep him focused, energized, and consistently delivering outstanding results.

Sherwing brings a civil engineer’s perspective and a practical, detail-oriented approach to his work. With a background in structural design, and drafting, he has a solid understanding of how technical plans come together and how thoughtful design supports smooth project execution. His experience across the engineering field helps him contribute efficiently, stay organized, and support projects with clarity and precision.

Outside of work, he enjoys watching TV series and movies; especially horror and sci-fi, spending quality time with his family, and staying active through running. These interests reflect his curiosity, balance, and appreciation for both focus and creativity, qualities he brings into his work every day

Ian has a background in mechanical engineering with a strong foundation in design, analysis, and project coordination. After earning his degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Johannesburg, he completed a Project Management Certificate from the same institution. He has worked on a variety of engineering projects ranging from automated systems to sustainable infrastructure solutions. Ian joined Swift Permits in 2025 as a Permit Project Manager, where he helps plan and execute residential and commercial permit projects with a focus on technical accuracy, efficiency, and client satisfaction.

Outside of work, Ian is always curious about how things work whether it’s new tech, interesting gadgets, or design tools. He’s also a big fan of gaming, especially strategy and simulation games that challenge his problem-solving skills.

Giovanni Sauls is a seasoned project and operations professional with a strong background in civil engineering, telecommunications infrastructure, and technology-driven delivery. He brings extensive experience managing complex projects across construction, fibre network rollouts, municipal works, and digital solutions, with a consistent focus on quality, efficiency, and results.

With expertise in project and operations management, Agile and PMBOK methodologies, stakeholder coordination, and financial oversight, Giovanni is known for his structured approach, clear communication, and commitment to operational excellence.

Outside of work, Giovanni enjoys walks on the beach, spending quality time with his wife and two daughters, and online gaming to unwind.

Tanaka brings an engineer’s way of thinking and a grounded, client-focused approach to permit project management. With a background in mechanical engineering and experience coordinating complex projects, he enjoys turning complicated approval processes into clear, manageable steps. Clients value his ability to communicate plainly, stay organized, and keep projects moving forward with minimal friction.
Outside of work, Tanaka is passionate about soccer, go-karting, and gaming, interests that reflect his love for strategy, competition, and continuous improvement. He also enjoys working with consumer electronics and microcontrollers, often experimenting with hands-on projects that sharpen his problem-solving skills. That same curiosity and attention to detail carry through into how he approaches every client project.

Lauren Stark is the Executive Assistant at Swift Permits, where she supports leadership and keeps the day-to-day details running smoothly. With years of experience as an EA and a long background in customer service, she brings strong communication skills, a proactive mindset, and an ability to stay calm while juggling priorities. Lauren is highly organized, quick to anticipate what’s needed, and loves creating systems that help teams stay on track. She takes pride in keeping schedules, logistics, and communication moving seamlessly behind the scenes.

Outside of work, Lauren is happiest spending time with her husband and five kids—especially when they’re outside playing and making memories together. She also loves trying new restaurants on date nights and discovering fun new local favorites.

Jennifer joined the Swift team as Office Administrator in 2021 and extended County Coordinator to her roles during 2023. In addition to these areas of service, Jennifer supports your Project Manager and Executive team to best serve you and keep your project moving swiftly. “Success is simple. When not at work she enjoys spending time with family and friends being outdoors, cooking, playing board games, and exploring California.

Hannah Quintero is a seasoned professional with over 10 years of experience in the television and film industry, both in front of and behind the camera. She has collaborated with top productions and networks, honing her skills in branding, marketing, and content creation.

In addition to her work in film and TV, Hannah has made significant strides in the high fashion industry, serving as a Project Manager for LA Fashion Week and as a runway and spokesmodel for multiple networks. Her deep understanding of branding allows her to help big companies enhance their social media presence and establish cohesive team identities.

With a focus on maximizing brand awareness, Hannah excels at crafting tailored content strategies that resonate with specific audiences. Her modern approach and extensive experience make her an invaluable partner in elevating brands within the competitive landscape of entertainment and fashion.

Jonathan Mane is a Permit Services Advisor at Swift Permits, where he focuses on client management, coordination, and generation. With hands-on experience in permit expediting and land use consulting, he understands how jurisdictions and cities operate and helps clients navigate requirements with clarity and efficiency.
Outside of work, Jonathan is curious by nature, enjoys spending time outdoors, dancing, and listening to music.

John Lloyd Zuniga is a detail-oriented assistant with over three years of experience providing high-level administrative and operational support in dynamic environments. Known for his efficiency, professionalism, and adaptability, John currently serves as a Permitting Assistant at Swift Permits, where he manages calendars, facilitates client communications, assists with permit compliance, and coordinates key project workflows with discretion and precision.

Outside the office, John shares his life with his wife Joana, with whom he enjoys hiking, traveling, and embarking on spontaneous adventures to new places. Together, they find joy in exploring nature and making memories off the beaten path. A devoted animal lover, John is also the proud “fur dad” to eight dogs—seven pugs and one rottweiler—who bring constant energy and laughter into their lives.
